On 03/16/1986 an end to the green knife maker Wolf Borger, Joachim Faust, Richard Hehn, Dietmar Kressler, Siggi Rinkes, Friedrich Schneider, Guenter Spretke and Egon trumpet the "German Knifemakers Guild" (DMG). Egon trumpeter was entrusted with the temporary head of the association. The following year joined the Knifemakers Franz Becker, Frans van den Heuvel and Albert and Thomas Spretke of the German Knifemakers Guild "on. On 03.23.1987 the corporate charter has been adopted. It was decided to register the organization with its headquarters in Stuttgart. As 1 Egon was elected Chairman trumpeter. In the Office of the Deputy Franz Becker was elected. Besides maintaining the knife-making art and the support or holding of the guild exhibitions do the members of the DMG a knife enthusiasts and customers with a guide when purchasing high-quality, handmade knife into the hand. This is true for the quality as well as for a fair business behavior. And that is what the "German Knifemakers Guild" is still active with over 80 members.
The Guild distinguishes between ordinary members and honorary members Foerdermitgliedern.
• Full members - are active knifemaker

• Honorary members - people who will have made around the hand-made knives or the DMG deserves to be appointed by the General Assembly can be honorary members.
Before a knife maker will be included in the guild, he can appoint 3 citizens from the ranks of regular members. It requires 5 knives in-house production will be presented to a host committee for review. The quality of the knife and the loyalty to the customer but also to other guild members opposite examined very carefully.
